Pair of Eighth Graders Take Top Honors in MLK Essay Contest
At its February action meeting, the school board recognized the 2024 winners of Alpha Phi Alpha’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast Essay Contest, which is open to Lexington middle school students. Morton eighth grader Savannah Peters took first place, and Tristan Theron was runner-up. Both are in Mark McDaniel’s class. Congratulations to all!
